Three phases from dust to turnover.
Post-construction cleaning for Nashville and Middle Tennessee builds, done in a rough clean, a detail clean and a touch-up, so the space is ready when it is inspected.

Post-Construction Cleaning in Nashville.
Maidman has cleaned behind construction crews in Nashville since 1999. Post-construction work is done in three phases. The rough clean takes out debris and the heavy dust once the major work reaches an agreed point. The detail clean handles every installed surface when the trades are substantially finished. The touch-up comes last and catches what later punch-list work and walkthroughs leave behind.
The work covers commercial, residential and industrial sites, from multi-family buildings to schools and medical facilities. Each phase has its own scope, so the contractor knows what is being cleaned and when, and the cleaning crew is not asked to work around trades that have not finished yet.
What the three phases cover
- Washing all surfaces to remove dust, dirt and construction residue
- High dusting of ceiling pipes, vents, light fixtures and other elevated areas
- Stain removal, scrubbing, dusting and vacuuming, including trim work and office furniture
- Cleaning inside desks, cabinets and storage units
- Sanitizing kitchens, washrooms and other high-touch areas
- Scrubbing floors and tile, polishing stainless steel and wiping walls
- Floor care, including deep cleaning, waxing and buffing
- Windowsills, frames and glass cleaned streak free
- Post-inspection and touch-up cleaning of specified surfaces
02 Post-construction cleaning
Three phases from rough clean to turnover.
Post-construction cleaning happens in three passes, each scheduled against where the build stands. Each phase has its own scope, so the contractor knows what gets cleaned and when.
- Debris, scrap, packaging and nails cleared from the interior
- Large items hauled and the floors swept down to the fine dust
- Dust and construction residue washed off surfaces
- Rooms that are not ready noted for a later phase
- High dusting of ceiling pipes, vents and light fixtures
- Labels, tape and protective film removed
- Inside cabinets, desks and storage cleaned, counters wiped
- Kitchens, washrooms and high-touch areas sanitized
- Floors and tile scrubbed, stainless steel polished, walls wiped
- Windows, sills, frames and tracks cleaned
- Final dusting, polishing and vacuuming of specified surfaces
- New dust and fingerprints from late trade work taken care of
- Floor care, including waxing and buffing where included
- Post-inspection cleaning so the space is ready for occupancy
03 Scoping and quote
How a post-construction job is scoped
It starts with a walkthrough or a consultation. Maidman looks at the site, the surfaces and the deadline, then writes a customized quote for each phase. Before the rough clean, the project team should clear materials and tools that are not part of the scope and mark any rooms where trades are still working.
The detail clean is scheduled once floors, fixtures, cabinets, counters, restrooms and windows are installed in the rooms being cleaned. The touch-up is booked around the punch list and the inspection date. If a room is not ready on the day, it is noted, and the contractor decides whether it moves to a later phase.

The touch-up handles the final dusting, polishing and vacuuming of specified areas before inspection or turnover. Each phase gets its own scope in the quote.
No. The rough clean can happen before every finish detail is complete, as long as the areas are safe to enter and the project team has removed materials that are not part of the cleaning scope. The detail clean waits until the main trade work in those rooms is done.
